My hazards do work, the blinker lights on the dash work with the hazards, and the "clicking" is there when the hazards are on. All my lights work and my AC/heater are working. Everything works except the turn signals. I pulled the flasher relay out and I can't find any cracks in the solder joints, even with a magnifying glass.
Stalk left: left signal is on; Stalk neutral: left signal is on; Stalk right: right signal is on; My research shows that the multi-function switch (i.e., the stalk) in this model frequently goes bad and the stuck turn signal is a symptom. Thanks in advance! EDIT: The previous issue I mentioned regarding the interior lights has resolved itself
The next thing is to make sure the wires on the trailer plug is wired properly to the trailer. If you have a 4-Way connector on the trailer the white wire is for ground, the green wire for right turn and brake, yellow wire for left turn and brake, and the brown wire is for running lights. I am including a link to a FAQ page on trailer wiring.
FYI, it is full LED like the mirror signal, so if it isn't working, it's likely going to take some money and time to fix. If the message was wrong, and it still works, check the brake lights. FYI, for decades on most vehicles, turn signals blink fast when a bulb is burned out. I checked the front headlight and the signal light is out. Thanks.
Save. madrabbitt ยท #17 ยท Feb 8, 2009. Get a wire probe out and check the incoming and outgoing wires to it. There may be a short in the wires, especially where the wires bend with the column. The only part of the harness that affects the turn signals, but not the hazard is that stalk.
