Ares. The original God of War, Ares accepted service from Kratos in exchange for destroying his enemies. Under Ares, Kratos committed many violent acts and was eventually tricked into killing his family. This caused the Spartan to seek vengeance against the god, something that was encouraged by the other gods.
it's atreus, he tells that he draws monsters that he and Kratos encounter on their journeys. He's not a drawer, he's a painter. A painter who only uses red. I believe he says in jotunheim that he can't draw but his son is quite the artist. Given he's a sparta warrior i doubt he encountered art very much.
God of War's art director Raf Grassetti shared images of Kratos before a number of layers were applied to make the character the finished article (thanks, IGN). In one of the images, a bare-faced God of War is yet to have his paint, textures, or even his beard applied, rendering him completely unready to face the nine realms.
